SAP PP/DS End User (m/f/d)

We are seeking an experienced SAP Consultant specializing in SAP PP/DS for our client, a leading global provider of polymer solutions and automotive supplier, to ensure efficient demand and capacity planning and to optimize production processes.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring and validating customer orders to ensure accurate demand planning
• Comparing agreed-upon capacities with actual customer orders, reporting discrepancies to assess potential cost implications, and initiating corrective actions
• Maintaining and adjusting system lead times while taking into account transit times, safety stock levels, and planning parameters
• Conducting regular medium- and long-term capacity checks to ensure production readiness
• Creating and updating detailed production plans, taking into account machine availability, personnel capacity, and operational constraints
• Daily monitoring of incoming painted semi-finished goods and close coordination with internal and external paint shops
• Adjustment of batch sizes based on capacity, material availability, and changes in customer demand
• Planning of machine downtime, maintenance work, and test runs in collaboration with production and maintenance

Profile

• In-depth knowledge of SAP PP (MRP, production orders, work plans, bills of materials)
• Experience with SAP Demand Planning
• Experience in capacity planning and managing bottlenecks

Nice to have

• Experience in training end users
• Experience in process harmonization and standardization
• Strong stakeholder management skills in complex transformation programs
• Knowledge of JIT/JIS and OEM call-off processes
• Very good user knowledge of SAP APO or PP/DS (heuristics, planning board, alerts, pegging, sequencing)
• Experience in carve-out, SAP rollout, or transformation projects (data migration, testing, cutover)
• Knowledge of German is a plus
