Senior Consultant SAP TM (f/m/d)

For our customer in the chemical industry we are looking for a Senior SAP TM Consultant (m/f/d)

Background

The service is requested as part of the project TM Roadmap where SAP precalculation shall be rolled out to the countries Vietnam and Philipines, as well as a 4PL in Thailand will be connected into the standard Data points of the customer. As part of the S4 frontrunner, a new carrier invoicing process shall be designed and implemented for a pilot country. The project is divided into the following sections:

• Rollout of SAP pre-calculation and the S4 frontrunner
• TMS capability rollouts and improvements (OTM/SAP), specifically the SAP precalculation in Germany, Belgium, Italy
• Logistics package of an Acquisition (SFL) in Europe and APAC in SAP and OTM
• S4 pilot, Agency Business Document for freight invoicing
• Design and implement a new carrier invoice process in a pilot country
• Definition and Implementation of a template for Service PO based freight invoicing (S4 front runner). The template will be handed over to the customer and validated for further usage.

Professional consulting of the project team in monthly project meetings regarding:

• Status updates on the current phase
• Resolution of currently open topics

Responsibilities

Analysis and Designing:

• Analysis of business processes as it is currently set up in SAP Horizon and document in Powerpoint and word documents
• Designing of a Business Process: Agnostic Process definition of seafreight process in Adhesives by reviewing and documenting business requirements from different regions
• Designing of process solution with reference to logistics processes
• Identifying of application requirements (create Change Rquests and Functional Designs)
• Creating of Requirement List (Change Requests, Functional Designs)

Building of:

• Customizing and Development of the processes specified as part of Analysis and Design
• Documentation of Customizing of the processes specified as part of Analysis and Design
• Creation of variants for all relevant programs
• Creation of a List of used interfaces/programs with variants
• Technical designing of solutions that cover the processes specified as part of Analysis and Design

Integration test:

• Planing, creation, checking of interfaces
• Creation of an Interface Overview
• Preparing and managing of master data
• Master data list
• Preparing of and executing integration test
• Testing of case Database

User acceptance test:

• Consultancy of definition of test scenarios
• Testing of case Database
• Consultancy of user acceptance test
• Following up and closure of Test cases & Problem reports

Deploy and Cut over:

• Preparing of detailed cut-over plan
• Cutting of Over Plan
• Setting up of deployment environment
• Master Data Migration
• Preparing and managing of master data /Cut-Over activities
• Checking of Cut-Over activity list

Go-Live:

• Signing off / Acceptance of cut-over plan
• Signing off Document for Go-live
• Managing and consultancy of first postings
• Analysis and monitoring of Go-live evaluation

Post Go-live / Hypercare:

• Managing of consult activities
• Going live of Open Issue List
• Coordination of Bug fixing
• Consultancy of local change mgmt. (key user)
• Adjustments of scope (need to be defined)



Knowledge Transfer and Handover to Maintenance:

• Creation of handover documents
• Updating of process and system documentation
• Explaining of new/changed processes

Profile

Business Process Analysis & Design

• Strong understanding of SAP TM (Transportation Management) and SAP S/4HANA logistics processes
• Experience in business process modeling and documentation (e.g., BPMN, flowcharts)
• Proficiency in PowerPoint and Word for creating clear and structured documentation
• Ability to conduct as-is analysis and define to-be processes across global regions
• Experience in agnostic process design (not tied to specific systems or tools)

Solution Design & Customizing

• Deep knowledge of SAP TM configuration and customizing (e.g., freight units, planning, execution, charge management)
• Experience in writing Functional Designs (FDs) and Change Requests (CRs)
• Ability to define and document technical specifications for development teams
• Familiarity with SAP interface technologies (IDoc, BAPI, OData, PI/PO, CPI)
• Experience in creating program variants and maintaining interface documentation

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Experience in integration testing: planning, execution, and documentation
• Ability to prepare and manage master data for testing (e.g., business partners, locations, transportation lanes)
• Familiarity with test case management tools (e.g., SAP Solution Manager, HP ALM)
• Experience in user acceptance testing (UAT): scenario definition, support, and issue resolution

Deployment & Cutover

• Experience in cutover planning and execution in SAP projects
• Ability to coordinate master data migration and validate cutover activities
• Familiarity with deployment environments and system readiness checks

Go-Live & Hypercare

• Experience in go-live support and first-level issue resolution
• Ability to monitor system behavior and analyze go-live performance
• Coordination of bug fixing and open issue tracking

Knowledge Transfer & Documentation

• Ability to create handover documentation for maintenance teams
• Experience in updating process and system documentation

• Fluent in English (German is a plus)
